Why does the aluminum base have that spike (as all pyrotechnic spindles do)? Is it for automatically forming the nozzle when you ram the clay? /dj_doru666
Yes, otherwise you'd have to drill out the nozzle, which would be more dangerous, and will not give identical result everytime. The rammers then have a hole in the end so they allow to slide over the spindle (the "spike" as you call it) /Pudi
Hi iv made a few of these little bottle rockets (all end burners with tiny shells on them) and they have all seemed to have great performance but when i go recover them their nozzle has blown out, is this normal? should i make the nozzle bigger? could it be the shock from the shell? /gal07
